So, I’m getting married in August aboard a cruiseship which means the majority of the wedding planning is done by the cruiseline. However, we need to decide if we want anything special done at our ceremony. Having only ever been to one or two weddings in my life, I really don’t have any idea how a typical wedding ceremony goes…the order of events.
Would appreciate a clear vision of what I can expect (keeping in mind I do realize all ceremonies are different, I just want a description of a typical wedding).
My boyfriend and I are trying to plan a wedding and have decided to keep it very small – just family and a few close friends. But both of us are very reserved and hate being the center of attention. We don’t want to elope, but at the same time we hate the idea of being up in front of our families and friends and having them watch us. Any ideas as to how we can have a ceremony, but maybe involve everyone so that we’re not the center of attention? Or hide us completely?

I’m planning a wedding for either Riverside, Orange, or LA county and can’t seem to find a nice, yet reasonably priced place. I’ve checked out sites like theknot.com, but those places are kinda pricey. Do any of you know of a place that isn’t too well know (yet nice) or that doesn’t cost a fortune? Anything you could offer at this point would be better than what I’ve found.
We are planning an outdoor ceremony at our reception venue for September of this year. If it rains, our coordinator said that 1/3 of our reception ballroom can be sectioned off and set up for the ceremony and then transformed back into the reception during cocktail hour. How can I still make it beautiful for the ceremony if it does rain and I have to move it indoors? I need quick decor idea that could be used indoors or out (so I don’t waste money) and can also be removed quickly after the ceremony is over.
